Meet the Heart Behind Our Toy Poodles & Standard Poodles

Hey y’all! I’m Rebekah—wife, mama, Mimi, and the heart behind Southern Belle Poodles. My husband and I have been married since 1997 and live in the small town of Poplarville, Mississippi. We raised three wonderful kids here, and now that they’re grown, we spend our days tending to our poodles and making sweet memories with our children and beautiful grandchildren.

My love for poodles started way back when I was a little girl and my parents brought one home for me. Years later, when our youngest child—our daughter—was just two years old, my husband gifted me with the sweetest little apricot toy poodle. She was only 3.5 pounds and we named her Belle. She quickly became part of our hearts and grew up right alongside our children. Belle passed before we ever started our program, but her memory stayed with us. When it came time to choose a name for our breeding journey, Southern Belle Poodles felt like the perfect way to honor the love and joy she brought into our lives.

In 2017, we officially began breeding, and I haven’t looked back since. With the help of my husband (the hardest working man I know), Southern Belle Poodles has grown into something truly special. We’re a small, family-run program where every dog is loved and cared for.  Our AKC Toy Poodles and Standard Poodles are raised in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment, surrounded by the everyday sounds of life—and lots of love from our grandkids!

We believe in doing things the right way—putting love, health, and honesty at the center of everything we do. We strive to give every puppy the best start possible and to match them with homes that will love them like we do. We work hard to stay in touch with our families, answer questions (even long after puppies go home), and build real relationships. Nothing makes us happier than getting an update or sweet photo from one of our poodle families.
